If you know someone who loves mystery and thrillers you should get them The Woman In The Window by A. J. Finn. I really enjoyed this book.

This book gives a unique approach to a murder mystery. Seen through the eyes of an agoraphobic, this psychological thriller is gripping and will keep you turning the pages. See the review here.

You have probably seen Ruth Ware’s work on the NY Times or Sunday Times best sellers list for In A Dark, Dark Wood and The Woman in Cabin 10.

Ware’s latest book The Death of Mrs. Westaway, is her best yet. What I like best about this book is the psychological suspense. It is a riveting  page turner with plenty of twist and turns that will keep you guessing until the end.

    1. Hello Alicia!
I can’t wait for the Wicked King (book 2) and may have to re-read The Cruel Prince again. I love the faerie world too.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Holidays!

    1. Hi Josephine!
The Immortalists was a very interesting book. I liked the double edge sword in this book. How would you live your life if you knew when you were going to die? I know we are all going to die at some point but would you do anything different? It’s a very thought provoking book.

I don’t usually do themed books. However, I have read lots of children’s Christmas books to my kids. I usually prefer to read books that grab my attention.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

  1. I love this post and hopefully someone will use it! I definitely double up on and agree with your recommendations of Little Fires Everywhere and also of Children of Blood and Bone. I wouldn’t mind being gifted Educated or The Cruel Prince seeing as they are both books on my wishlist as well 😉

I hope you end up with some books under your tree, Dinh!

    1. Hi Olivia!
I was blown away with Educated and think you’ll definitely will enjoy it too.
Westover’s story shows how our lives can change if we want and have the determination to do so.

I hope Santa brings you some good books for Christmas!

    1. Hi Lonna!
The first memoir I read this year was Flat Broke With Two Goats by Jennifer McGaha, which was interesting and it got me interested in reading more memoirs.
Educated by Tara Westover was fantastic! I love reading about real people and real events. Her life history was not your run of the mill story. I loved that it was about her relationship with her parents and siblings.
      It’s such a brilliant book!
